Christopher Mahoney, Esq.
Attorney Chris Mahoney has over 25 years of experience designing and implementing estate plans that meet his clients’ particular planning needs. Chris counsels individuals and couples on all aspects of estate planning including living trust planning, wealth preservation, asset protection, estate tax planning, special needs trust planning, gift planning and elder law planning.
Attorney Mahoney’s planning strategies include, living trusts, revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, gifting trusts, multigenerational trusts, Wills and durable powers of attorney.
Chris advises small business owners and rental property owners in connection with the establishment and operation of corporations and limited liability companies. He also assists clients in solving the unique business succession and estate tax planning issues presented to business and real estate owners, including the use of discounting strategies for gifts and sales to grantor trusts and spousal lifetime access trusts.
Chris advises clients that have charitable objectives and can assist clients in establishing private foundations and charitable trusts.
Chris also advises and guides the families of deceased persons with probate matters including, probate of estates, trust administration, and estate tax return preparation.
Chris earned his undergraduate degree from Tufts University (B.A., cum laude) and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School (J.D., cum laude).
Chris has been recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer.
Gaye Forand
Paralegal
Gaye Forand has many years of experience in the legal field and has her paralegal certificate in real estate law.
Gaye has worked with attorney Chris Mahoney for over 15 years, assisting with plan execution and the funding of clients’ trusts, including the preparation of real estate deeds.
Gaye also works closely with the families of deceased person in the gathering of information needed for estate and trust administration and the preparation of estate tax returns.
